HCH Diet Phase 2 - Day 3



 Down another 3 lbs today! I totally wasn't expecting to be down that much from yesterday. I was thinking 1 or maybe 2 pounds, but I was actually jaw dropping shocked when I read the scale. Those numbers are the only thing that makes this diet all worth it. Totally worth it. Take it from someone who loves food, because I wouldn't be able to be so limited with my meal choices if that number wasn't going down.

Today was kind of hard. This morning I fed the kids some cereal for breakfast and I so just wanted to grab their spoon and dunk it in that sweet crunchy milk covered carby goodness, but of course I didn't! Then for dinner, I was REALLY looking forward to a delicious meal. I cooked up some shrimp for the whole family(I knew how many I was going to take for myself). I added broccoli and zucchini(I added the serving of broccoli for myself). Everything was going great, it tasted awesome. I let it simmer until my hubby got home from work, then when I opened the lid, the broccoli was mush! I was so upset I almost cried! I was actually, literally, crushed. Wow, I didn't think that a little mushy broccoli could upset me so much, but I guess because I'm getting so little food, I want every meal to be so great that it makes up for the fact that I'm not getting very much food choices. Anyways, I'll get over it!

So here's what I had for breakfast. A cup of cherries and green tea.
 

 For lunch I had my slow cooked beef in a bit of broth(So good).


 For dinner I had curried shrimp with broccoli. I would definitely make this again. The flavors were really great. All I did was add some curry powder, garlic, salt & pepper and a sprinkle of liquid aminos while I cooked the shrimp. Then added the broccoli(which next time I will watch super closely!) and cooked for a few minutes. I had my melba toast on the side.


 For my evening snack I had strawberries, which were delicious!
